SKU: FA10025

The Bicolor Angelfish, also known as the Blue and Gold Angel, Pacific Rock Beauty, Oriole Angelfish, Two-Colored Angel, and the Oriole Dwarf Angel. The Bicolor Angelfish has a split yellow and royal blue body with a yellow tail. It is one of the most common and most popular angel fish species in the aquarium trade. The Bicolor Angel can reach sizes of up to 6 inches and should be housed in a tank of at least 75 gallons with plenty of live rock and herbivorous matter. Moderately aggressive, the Bicolor Angelfish should not be housed with peaceful fish. They are known to nip at corals, large polyped corals, tunicates, sponges, and worms, and may nip the mantles of clams. Yet this angel makes up for its lack of coral compatibility with its brilliant coloration. They are difficult to breed in captivity and males and females exhibit hermaphroditic characteristics. The Bicolor Angel feeds on a mixed diet of vegetation and small crustaceans including brine and mysis shrimp. Overall, the Bicolor Angelfish is one of the most sought-after Angelfish species due to its unique coloration. The Bicolor Angelfish will thrive in a tank with with a temperature of 73.0 to 82.0° F and a pH of 8.0-8.4.
