Triton Labs Core7 Base Elements 4 Part Balanced Ionic Solution
Triton Labs Base Elements Core7 is a newly re-formulated super-concentrate (7X) of the Triton Labs Base Elements products used by the Triton Method. This concentrate combines the essential major elements with a scientifically formulated suite of trace elements to replenish those consumed in the daily function of your reef system. Requires no mixing with RO/DI. This will replace any 2 or 3 part dosing, calcium reactor, kalkwasser regimen, etc. Use it as a stand alone product.
Recommended starting dose is 2ml for every 26 gallons of system water for each of the 4 parts dosed daily. (example- 100 gal system (display + sump)= 8ml per day for each part). Test alkalinity daily to dial in the amount of liquids needed to maintain a stable alkalinity close to 8dkh. For existing tanks that are switching from the traditional base elementz to the Core 7 please divide your daily dose by 7. (Example- Old base elementz dose is 70 ml per day for each of the four parts. New Core 7 daily dose for each of the four parts would be 10ml) For smaller tanks you can dilute each bottle with RO/DI water to increase the ml's dosed daily. This will allow the doser to dose more per day reducing calibration errors. Parts 3a and 3b can be combined into one solution for people running a 3 stage doser. Just remember to double the dose of this 3rd channel on the doser if doing this. Triton does recommend dosing the bottles as 4 separate parts.
Because this is a very concentrated product you will need to dose into an area of high flow in the sump. It is ideal to dose directly into the refugium section. We recommend spreading the dose out so each part is not dosed at the same time to avoid precipitation. It is recommended to put 5 minutes between each part being dosed. Also recommended is to not dose more than 3 or 4 mls at one time. This is where using a good doser comes in. Simply divide the daily dose by 12 or 24 hours and dose throughout the day. This is a direct replacement for the base elementz. For small aquariums consider using the base elementz since they are more diluted and easier to dose correctly with dosers. On a small tank, the difference between 2 and 3 mls can greatly effect the water chemistry should the doser not have a good calibration. Intended to be used with the Triton Method. For those NOT running the Triton method please use the Triton Labs Reef Supplements CORE7.
